Welcome Back Night

Sycamore staff and teachers are excited for the 22/23 school year so save the date for our Back to School Night. Sycamore will hold walk-through classroom visits between 5-7 pm on Thursday, July 14th. It’s the perfect opportunity to show your child their classroom, meet their teacher, meet our Specialist Teachers, and tour other areas of the campus including our library, MPR, and playground.
In addition, classroom teachers will prepare a welcome video which will include an introduction of themself, an overview of routines and procedures, grade level curriculum, and will provide additional information about your child’s classroom. The video link will be sent home to members of the class prior to the Welcome Back Night.
Sycamore’s AMAZING PTA will have a table where you can purchase Sycamore t-shirts and other accessories. PTA has also arranged for food and beverage trucks. Welcome Back Night is also a great time to join Sycamore’s PTA!
Are you interested in serving on the Site Council? Sycamore will have two open seats on the Site Council this year. The Sycamore Site Council serves in an advisory capacity to the principal. Any parent/community member who resides within the Sycamore attendance boundary is eligible to run for a seat. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested by Friday, July 15th and send me a brief summary introducing yourself and why you are interested in serving as a member of the Site Council. During the week of July 18th, an electronic voting ballot will be sent out to parents with your bio information for parents to vote. The two successful candidates will be notified the following week.
