Sycamore staff and teachers are excited for the 23/24 school year so save the date for our Back to School Night!
Our evening will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the MPR with a Meet and Greet with Sycamore’s Principal, Ken Graff; Assistant to the Principal, Jennifer Jepson; and members of Sycamore's PTA.
Sycamore will hold walk-through classroom visits between 5:15-7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 12th. It’s the perfect opportunity to show your child their classroom, meet their teacher, meet our Specialist Teachers, and tour other areas of the campus including our library, MPR, and playground.
In addition, classroom teachers will prepare a welcome video which will include an introduction of themself, an overview of routines and procedures, grade level curriculum, and will provide additional information about your child’s classroom. The video link will be sent home to members of the class prior to the Welcome Back Night.
Sycamore’s AMAZING PTA will have a table where you can purchase Sycamore t-shirts and other accessories. PTA has also arranged for food and beverage trucks. Welcome Back Night is also a great time to join Sycamore’s PTA!
Are you interested in serving on the Site Council? Sycamore will have two open seats on the Site Council this year. The Sycamore Site Council serves in an advisory capacity to the principal. Any parent of Sycamore or community member who resides within the Sycamore’s attendance boundary is eligible to run for a seat. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested by Wednesday, July 12th and send me a brief summary introducing yourself and why you are interested in serving as a member of the Site Council. Nominees will have an opportunity to introduce themselves at the Meet and Greet in the MPR at 5:00 pm on the 12th. During the week of July 17th, an electronic voting ballot will be sent out to parents with your bio information for parents to vote. The two successful candidates will be notified the following week.
