We have so much to be thankful for this short week at DWE! We had our November grade level buddies on Monday - it is so great to see our students making connections across different grade levels!
We are also so thankful for our awesome PTA! They made so many amazing things happen today: they invited the Arizona Opera and we got to see "The Littlest Mermaid," they spoiled our staff with a delicious pie bar, and they helped organize dance parties at lunch time and our silly staff race this afternoon!
Have an amazing long weekend Diamondback, we are thankful for every family in our community! See you Monday!

This was a great four day week at Desert Willow! In the library this week our classes learned about the history of Veterans Day and why we had a day off, one of our many amazing teachers got a surprise, our first graders learned about and used watercolors in art, and we had an amazing Kindergarten Round-Up yesterday! If you have a child who will be starting kindergarten in the 2025/2026 school year we would love for you to attend to learn about kindergarten at Desert Willow! Or if you have a family member, friends, even a neighbor; we would love to have them attend Kindergarten Round-Up at DWE!

This week all of our 3rd grade classes went to Agua Caliente Park to learn about the ecosystem and observe some microscopic organisms in the water! We love seeing science learning in action!

Another week has flown by here at DWE! It was such a blast to see all the creative, silly, and spooky costumes around campus yesterday! Then today we had a thrilling visit from the Tucson Twist-It's! We had an amazing Red Ribbon Week this week! It was so great so see so many of our staff and students dressed up this week. This week ended with our Kindergarten Community Helpers Parade, we love seeing our Diamondbacks' goals for the future! We also had our monthly Diamondbuck store. Thank you Mrs. Coolman for organizing these monthly stores for our kids, we love them (and the neon mustaches) so much!
