Navigating all of the different online platforms our kids use isn’t always easy!  We’ve created this page to help our parents and families when they run into difficulties.  Take a look below for great tips and troubleshooting.

PowerSchool  PowerSchool’s Parent Portal contains links to important information for your child.  Sycamore Elementary has created an account for every child at Sycamore.  If you’re not sure of your login information, please contact our front office at 520-879-2502.  Our front office staff can help you troubleshoot login problems and reset your password if you’ve forgotten it.  Please visit PowerSchool for your child’s grades, CareDox information, and login information.  You’ll also find your child’s unique code so you can add them to your Schoology Account.

Schoology  Schoology is the Vail School District’s online learning platform.  We’ll be using Schoology as our primary means of interacting with your child during remote learning.  Within the Schoology platform, your child will have access to assignments, videos, and virtual conferences with their teacher.  Your child already has a Schoology account with the Vail School District. As a Parent or Care Giver, it would be beneficial for you to also set up an account. A Parent account allows you to monitor your child’s classroom activity and communicate directly with your child’s teacher.  If you have more than one child in the Vail School District, you can link all of your children to your account.  To help you set up your account, you can find a detailed instruction page here.  We’ve also created a short video that will walk you through the process, and provide a few more details about the Schoology interface.

Some Troubleshooting Tips  We realize that not everything works as planned 100% of the time.  If you’re having trouble logging into PowerSchool or Schoology, or your child is having difficulty getting their account to work, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  We’re always here to help.  We’ve also put together some troubleshooting tips where you may with to begin.  Below, you’ll find links to Frequently Asked Questions and helpful “How-To’s” for the most common problems you may run into.
