We have made it through the 2020-2021 school year. I can definitely say that this past year will be very memorable not only since it was my first year but with all of the challenges that we faced together.
Though a Tucson native I have spent the better part of the last decade accompanying my husband, John throughout the United States during his career in the Army. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Development in 2005. Teaching 5th grade for two years as well as multiple years substituting while being a full-time mom to my son Zachary, and daughter Addison further ignited the passion within me to teach. I returned to the University of Arizona and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. With our two dogs and cat, our house can sometimes seem like a zoo, especially when the doorbell is rung. My daughter is enrolled here at Sycamore in the 5th grade, and my son is a freshman at Andrada Polytechnic High School. I am an avid Disney fan, and a novice long distance runner, running in many events. We have grown to love the relaxed living only to be found here in Corona De Tucson and the friendliness of the community.
I am excited for the 2021-2022 school year and look forward to becoming your students’ teacher and mentor. I also look forward to getting to know you, the parents and working together to provide the finest education all children deserve.
