My passion is working with children. I provide direct and consultative services to children with academic challenges. I teach the student and consult with teaching staff on strategies to help them succeed in the general classroom through adaptive techniques and/or tools. I have worked as an Occupational Therapist for 35 years, 20 years in the clinical setting and 15 years in the school setting. I believe in learning while having fun at the same time, whether it is strengthening the body, improving fine motor, visual motor skills, and/or sensory regulation. If warranted, sensory regulation techniques are taught to students and staff working with those students, to help a child better tolerate the sounds, sights, smell and touch of their surroundings.
