I am extremely excited to be starting my second year here at Sycamore! This will be my seventh year teaching; the first 5 in second grade, and 2 in fifth. I absolutely love what I do! My goal is to inspire students and to help them learn and grow.
I was born and raised in Sierra Vista, Arizona. At the age of 17, I graduated high school in only three years and made my way up to Tucson, and attended the University of Arizona. After what seemed like the longest four years of my life, I graduated and obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I moved back to Sierra Vista to teach in the same school that I attended as an elementary student. To make things even more interesting, I taught second grade in the same classroom that I was in when I was in second grade. Pretty neat, huh? Three years into my career, I decided to further my education and pursue a Master’s degree. In April of 2017, I obtained my Master’s degree in Educational Administration.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, baking, cooking, and taking my dog, Ruby out for walks. I became an auntie in July of last year, and most of my free time is spent spoiling my niece.
