Mrs. Jennifer Johnson

After spending 22 years in various roles in education from classroom teacher to curriculum writer, I am so excited to be returning for my 6th year at Sycamore! Growing up in Missouri, I knew early on I wanted to be a teacher. After a detour to upstate New York for a few years, I moved to Vail in 2005. I have one daughter who will be a 7th grader at the Middle School.

Outside of the classroom, I run a small photography business, read anything I can get my hands on, love all things Disney, enjoy doing activities outdoors and love spending time with my family. When I’m not driving my daughter to gymnastics practices or competitions, we also enjoy exploring the Tucson area, going to the movies, and are avid baseball fans. Go Cardinals!

I am looking forward to helping your 1st grade students succeed and love school here at Sycamore! It is my hope to create a nurturing, encouraging environment where your child can blossom and grow into confident, caring, and respectful learners. I believe the greatest growth can occur when the parents and teachers work together to help their students learn. I look forward to learning more about you and your child and working with them this year at Sycamore!
