After spending 21 years in various roles in education from classroom teacher to curriculum writer, I am so excited to be returning for my 5th year at Sycamore, my first year in 1st grade! Growing up in Missouri, I knew early on I wanted to be a teacher. After a detour to upstate New York for a few years, I moved to Vail in 2005 when my husband was transferred to the area with his job. We have one daughter who will be a 6th grader at the Middle School.

Outside of the classroom, I run a small photography business, read anything I can get my hands on, love all things Disney, and enjoy spending time with my family and our various pets. We also enjoy exploring the Tucson area, going to the movies, and are avid baseball fans. Go Cardinals!

I am looking forward to helping your 1st grade students succeed and love school here at Sycamore! It is my hope to create a nurturing, encouraging environment where your child can blossom and grow into confident, caring, and respectful learners. I believe the greatest growth can occur when the parents and teachers work together to help their students learn. I look forward to learning more about you and your child and working with them this year at Sycamore!
