I am a California native from the small mountain town of Lake Arrowhead and moved to Tucson in 2015, following my husband who is in the US Air Force. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside in 2011. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Redlands with my multiple subject teaching credential. This is my sixth year at Sycamore Elementary, my fifth year as Student Council Advisor, and my fifth year as the Algebra Club Advisor.
In addition to teaching, I have a love for reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with my husband and family. I have 2 tortoises, 2 dogs, and our class hamster. I lived overseas in the United Kingdom, where I also traveled and learned about new cultures, visited amazing historical sites, and learned more about each place I visited. I look forward to bringing more of my experiences into my classroom to motivate my students to think outside the box, broaden their horizons, challenge themselves in their learning, and learn about the world around them.
I am thrilled for the 2020-2021 school year and looking forward to building bonds with more Sycamore students and families.
