I am a California native from the small mountain town of Lake Arrowhead and moved to Tucson in 2015, following my husband who is in the US Air Force. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside in 2011. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Redlands with my multiple subject teaching credential. This October, I will graduate with my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership. This is my seventh year at Sycamore Elementary, my sixth year as Student Council Advisor, and my sixth year as the Algebra Club Advisor.
In addition to teaching, I have a love for coffee, Star Wars, reading, scrapbooking/crafting, traveling, and spending time with my husband and family. I have 2 tortoises, 2 dogs, and our class Hamster and Leopard Gecko. I lived overseas in the United Kingdom, where I also traveled and learned about new cultures, visited amazing historical sites, and learned more about each place I visited. I look forward to bringing more of my experiences into my classroom to motivate my students to think outside the box, broaden their horizons, challenge themselves in their learning, and learn about the world around them.
I am thrilled for the 2021-2022 school year and looking forward to building bonds with more Sycamore students and families.
