I am a California native from the small town of Lake Arrowhead and moved to Tucson in 2015, following my husband who is in the US Air Force. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside in 2011. I have an amazing sister as my role model, who helped me develop a deep passion for teaching and showed me that I wanted to educate our future leaders and grow my personal love for learning. That love for learning that grew within me while I was younger drove me to change directions in my life. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Redlands with my multiple subject teaching credential. This is my fifth year at Sycamore Elementary, my fourth year as Student Council Advisor, and my fourth year as the Algebra Club Advisor.
In addition to teaching, I have a love for reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with my husband and family. I have been blessed to have lived in the United Kingdom with my husband while stationed at RAF Lakenheath. I traveled as much as I could and learned about new cultures, visited amazing historical sites, and learned more about each place I visited. I realized how important it was to embrace everything each country had to offer and learn from every experience any way that I possibly could. I look forward to bringing more of my experiences into my classroom to motivate my students to think outside the box, broaden their horizons, challenge themselves in their learning, and learn about the world around them.
I am thrilled for the 2019-2020 school year and looking forward to building bonds with more Sycamore students and families.
